Cookie Policy

How gizi-seimbang.id uses cookies and similar technologies, what each type does, and how you can control them from your own browser.

This policy applies to every visitor and to every page of gizi-seimbang.id. The site operator is Gizi Seimbang Konsultasi, Jl. Basuki Rahmat No. 12, Surabaya, Jawa Timur, 60271, Indonesia. It covers what cookies and similar technologies are, which ones this site sets, what each does, who else may set them, and how you switch them off.

What cookies are

Small files your browser keeps for us

A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device when you open a page. It lets the site remember something between one page and the next, or between one visit and the next. That memory might be a choice you made, the stage you reached in a form, or simply the fact that this browser has been here before.

Similar technologies work in comparable ways. Local storage keeps data in your browser rather than sending it back with every request, and it is often used for the same jobs: holding a preference, tracking a session, or remembering that a panel was already dismissed. Where this policy says cookies, the same explanation applies to those equivalents on gizi-seimbang.id.

A

Set by the page you open

A first-party cookie belongs to this site. It can carry your language choice or keep a form session alive while you type.

B

Readable between visits

Some last only for the session and disappear when you close the tab. Others have an expiry date so the site recognises you next week.

C

Never an executable program

A cookie holds text, not code. It cannot run on your device, read other files, or search your computer for information.

D

Yours to clear at any time

Your browser stores them and your browser can delete them. Nothing here locks them in place, and clearing them will not damage your device.

Why we use them

One part keeps the site running, one part keeps it worth running

Essential cookies do the plumbing. They hold your session together while you move between pages, keep the consultation registration form from losing what you typed when you check a field, and confirm that a page request is legitimate. These are needed for the site to work correctly, and the site itself cannot switch them off — only your browser can.

Preference and analytics cookies are a different job. Preference cookies remember what you chose, so you are not reselecting it on every visit. Analytics cookies, where they are used, tell us which pages families actually read, where people stop, and whether a page loads the way it should on a phone. That kind of reading shapes which nutrition guides we write next.

We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles of individual visitors, and we do not sell data collected through them. What we keep is a picture of how the site behaves for people in general, not a file on you in particular.

Registering for a consultation takes place on its own page. If you would rather ask about this policy first, the contact page carries the full address and working hours.

Cookies we use

Three groups, three different jobs

A

Essential

Keep the site working end to end. A session cookie holds your place between pages, and a form cookie keeps a partly completed registration from resetting when you move back a step. Without these, parts of the site simply stop behaving.

Kept for the length of your visit, or until you clear them.

B

Preference

Remember a choice you already made — a language setting, a dismissed notice, a reading size — so the site does not ask you the same question twice. If you clear them, the site will simply start fresh next visit.

Kept for a set period, usually a few months, unless you delete them.

C

Analytics

Where they are used, they show which pages get read and how the site performs on different devices. The result is a count of visits and page behaviour, used to decide what to improve, not a profile of a person.

Kept for a limited period set by the analytics service.

If you see a list of specific cookie names anywhere, treat the groups above as the reliable summary. Names and expiry periods change as services are updated, and this page is kept current when they do.

Our position

Enough memory to help you, not enough to follow you

A nutrition consultation runs on trust: what you type into a registration form, what you say about how your family eats, what you take away from a guide. We keep the site's cookie use narrow for the same reason. Essential cookies are there because the site cannot hold a session without them. Preference cookies remember what you already chose. Analytics, where used, tell us how pages perform.

None of these build a profile of you as a person, and none of them follow your reading around other websites. Where a cookie is not essential, we ask before setting it, and you can change your answer at any time.

Third-party cookies

Some cookies are set by the services behind the page

Hosting

The service that serves these pages may set a cookie to keep traffic moving and to tell requests apart. It supports the delivery of the site you are reading, nothing more.

Analytics

Where an analytics service is in use, it sets its own cookies to count visits and measure how pages perform on phones, tablets and desktops. Reports reach us as totals, not as a list of people.

Embedded content

If a page carries content hosted elsewhere — a video, a form widget — that provider may set its own cookies when the content loads. Those cookies belong to it, not to us.

Third-party providers publish their own privacy and cookie policies, and they are the better source if you want detail on what they keep and for how long. We pick services that keep their footprint small, but we cannot describe their practices on their behalf. If you want to see which providers this site currently works with, write to us and we will tell you.

Managing cookies

Four ways to take control from your browser

Every major browser lets you see what it has stored for a site, block it in advance, or clear it afterwards. The menus differ by browser and by device, but the four options below cover what most people need here.

Clearing cookies signs you out of anything you were signed into and resets preferences. It does not delete your account, and it does not remove anything you sent us through a form — that record stays where it was submitted.

See what is stored

Browser settings usually have a privacy or storage section that lists cookies per site, with the name and the expiry date next to each one.

Block third-party cookies

This stops cookies from services other than the page you are on. It is a common default and it rarely breaks ordinary reading.

Block cookies entirely

Available in every major browser, but expect side effects: forms that lose their place, sessions that end, and sites that ask you to start again.

Clear what is already there

Deleting stored cookies is the simplest reset. If a page has been behaving oddly for you, this is often the first thing worth trying.

What changes if you block essential cookies

Blocking the essentials has a cost. The registration form may not hold what you typed between steps, and a page you moved through may not remember where you were. Reading the nutrition guides still works, and you can still reach us by phone during working hours, Monday to Friday, 09:00–18:00.

Consent and changes

Where we ask, how long it holds, and what changes

Asking first where it matters

Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies. You can withdraw that consent whenever you like — either by changing your browser settings, or by contacting us and telling us you would rather not be counted. Withdrawing consent does not undo anything that happened before, and it does not affect your access to the nutrition guides or the registration page.

Keeping this page current

We update this policy when our use of cookies changes — for example, if a service is added or removed, or if a retention period is shortened. The version published on this page is always the current one, and the date below tells you when it last changed. If a change affects what you agreed to, we will ask again rather than assume.

Last updated 2 October 2026.

Questions about this policy, or about your data

Write to us, call during working hours, or come by the office in Surabaya. If your question is really about what to eat rather than about cookies, start with the Everyday Nutrition Guide, and register for a consultation when you are ready to talk it through with a dietitian.
